At Iknow, Jack's primary focus spans KM strategy, learning strategy, organizational design, change management, and large-scale transformation. He brings to these engagements a depth of experience that few consultants can match — built across McKinsey, Ernst & Young, Roland Berger, and Deloitte, and refined through senior advisory roles in some of the world's most demanding operational environments. He is also Principal of Midgley & Company, a Washington, DC-based global strategy and transformation consultancy advising C-level clients in the US, Europe, and Saudi Arabia on defense transformation, market entry, and organizational change.

He designed and led the creation of Saudi Arabia's first National Defense University — a multi-year engagement with the Saudi Ministry of Defense — and developed the Target Operating Model guiding the Kingdom's broader defense transformation. He was the only non-Japanese member of Japan's national proposal team for Japan's first post-WW2 effort to export a major weapon system, advising senior civilian and military leaders on a $50 billion bid strategy. He led a joint Ministry/consulting team to design the strategy, policy, and commercial approach for a $10 billion military housing program for over 200,000 members of Saudi Arabia's armed forces. He designed and led a 15-month strategic review for two successive four-star Chiefs of the US National Guard Bureau, delivering organizational changes that took immediate effect. As Senior Advisor to the Commander of International Security Assistance Forces in Kabul, he worked with top US, NATO, and Afghan leaders on security transition and redirected over $100 million in US government investment to restructure Afghanistan's national identity program. Earlier in his consulting career, as Senior Partner at Ernst & Young, he launched and led the Asia-Pacific Global Client Consulting Group, directing advisory services in Korea, China, and Singapore. As US Managing Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, he led strategic advisory services for global clients across the US, Middle East, and Europe.

Jack has trained more than 1,000 senior executives across four continents through his Argument & Advocacy program — developed at MIT and first delivered at West Point, where it trained national champion debate teams. The program, now enhanced by a proprietary AI toolset, has been delivered at Big 4 consulting firms, defense organizations, government agencies, and multinational corporations worldwide. He teaches "The Economics of Saudi Power" in Georgetown University's Security Studies Program, and his commentary on global defense and security appears regularly on Bloomberg, CNBC, the Financial Times, Al Arabiya, and major US networks. Before founding Iknow, Bernie was a Senior Partner at Ernst & Young, where he served as the firm's global service line leader for Strategy and Knowledge Management in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Prior to EY, he was Corporate Director of Business Reengineering at Bristol-Myers Squibb, leading enterprise-wide process reengineering projects in new product development, supply chain, finance, human resources, and legal functions. He began his consulting career at McKinsey & Company, where he directed engagements across strategy and operations improvement in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology companies.

Bernie holds a Doctor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Management from MIT, where his doctoral research — conducted at the intersection of Chemical Engineering and MIT's Artificial Intelligence Laboratory — focused on creating digital twins, or simulations of the physical universe, for AI-powered diagnostic problem-solving. He was awarded a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellowship. He also holds undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating summa cum laude and elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi, and Omicron Delta Kappa. Jacques Simard is a Senior Consultant and Knowledge and Enterprise Architecture Specialist at Iknow LLC, with more than 30 years of experience in knowledge management, enterprise and business architecture, semantic AI, ontology and taxonomy development, and technology transfer across private, public, and para-public organizations in Canada, the United States, and internationally.

Jacques operates at the strategic, tactical, and operational levels of enterprise knowledge and information architecture, helping organizations design and deploy sophisticated frameworks for knowledge creation, modeling, brokerage, and governance. He is the President of Knowledge Architect Productions Ltd., through which he provides advisory and consultancy services in knowledge management, operational intelligence, AI-based knowledge and information processing, and semantic technology platforms. His work spans technology transfer, business and partner development, and the design of high-level knowledge management frameworks to guide deployment of semantic-based knowledge and information brokerage systems.

Jacques's most distinctive enterprise engagement was a seven-year tenure at Cirque du Soleil as Knowledge Architect within the Knowledge Management and Enterprise Architecture Directorate. There, he led knowledge modeling and architecture across the organization's most complex operational domains — including artist lifecycle management (immigration, casting, and contracts), show production, costume research and development, human resources, and legal services. He managed an AI-based NLP pilot project for automated document classification in SharePoint, developed harmonized taxonomies and bodies of knowledge across multiple business functions, and led a Semantic Web pilot for operational and business intelligence in artist training management and performance services. He developed and delivered knowledge management training programs across the breadth of Cirque's global operations.

Before Cirque du Soleil, Jacques served for six years as Director and Senior Advisor at Smartlogic (now Progress), an international company specializing in the Semaphore ontology-based semantic AI graph technology platform. In this role he worked at the strategic and tactical levels in business, partner, and channel development for Fortune 1000 companies across manufacturing, government, aerospace, financial services, health, life sciences, and pharmaceuticals — designing complex solutions for augmented AI search, content intelligence analytics, ontology and taxonomy management, regulatory compliance, and automatic classification. Earlier, he served as Director of Technology Transfer at the Centre International de Recherche en Infographie, leading knowledge management technology transfer projects from proof-of-concept through operational deployment, and as Project Leader at Nav Canada, where he architected a geospatial business intelligence portal integrating data across engineering, air traffic control, facilities management, human resources, and finance. His career began at Transport Canada, where he spent 13 years in the Information Management Branch leading technology transfer programs in geomatics, machine learning, document and image management, and computer-aided software engineering.

Trussler is an Engagement Director and Senior Consultant at Iknow LLC, specializing in knowledge and information management, business strategy, and enterprise technology implementation, with more than 40 years of consulting and functional management experience across professional services, healthcare, energy, financial services, and government.

Simon's core expertise spans the full KM lifecycle: designing business processes for knowledge capture and governance, developing taxonomy and auto-classification strategies, and architecting SharePoint and Microsoft 365 environments for enterprise knowledge management. He leads engagements from planning through hands-on implementation — including KM site design and coding — giving clients both the strategic roadmap and the technical execution to match. Alongside his KM practice, Simon brings long-standing expertise in business strategy for the healthcare services industry, developed through senior leadership roles and advisory work spanning more than two decades.

Simon's career spans some of the most demanding KM environments in global consulting. As Partner and Head of Global Knowledge Management and Research at Boston Consulting Group, he spent more than two decades building and managing the firm's KM and research capabilities across more than 50 country offices — designing the processes, organizational networks, and technical platforms that enabled BCG's strategy consulting practice to operate at scale worldwide. He also spent 12 years earlier at BCG as a strategy consultant in London and Stockholm, completing more than 80 client assignments for major companies across Western Europe and the United States. As Senior Vice President at Health Dialog, he created and led the company's global training and knowledge management functions and directed its business development activities in Spain and Australia.
